The Wonder Stuff formed in 1986 in Stourbridge. Their first EP, 'A Wonderful Day', was released on the band's own Far Out Recording Company.
Although this release had only a small impact on a loyal following it did bring the band to the attention of Polygram Publishing who helped finance the band's second release 'Unbearable', a UK Indie Chart Number One single. Whether it was this early commercial success, or the incalculable number of live shows the band were apt to perform during 1987, they were quickly signed to Polydor Records at the end of that year.
Timothy has played venues as far away as New York at the behest of Gary Lucas, co-writer of Jeff Buckley's 'Grace' & 'Mojo Pin' & continues to play concerts supporting Miles Hunt Of The Wonderstuff on various dates around the U.K. As Part Of Miles & Erica's Neverending Acoustic Tour, which continues to sell out venues across the U.K.

A modern travelling troubadour using tap shoes, acappella, harmonica, guitar, trombone, spoons, finger cymbals, bandorea, djembe and various percussion instruments! Rory has travelled the globe for different reasons at different times, from Asia to the middle East from Gambia to Cuba, Central America, Australia, North America, Canada, Europe and other nooks and crannies of the earth.
After a 10-year absence demand for the group's return has been so huge they will reform for selected dates through '09. The group began its early life as 'Edward The Second and the Red Hot Polkas' after forming in Cheltenham in 1984.
The 2009 tour will see the full line up return for selected festivals and venues
